Education: For Photographers

Whether you are running a full-time business, just wanting a better understanding of your camera, or somewhere in the middle, you're here for a reason:
You want to learn.
And there's always more to learn, always. I learn new things everyday. And I want to share what I've learned with you.

It's truly frightening to not know if what you are doing is right, if it's working, or if there's a better way to do it.

That's where I come in.
I want to help you become more confident in yourself, your business, and the photos you take for your clients.
I do this by taking time and talking with you one on one about what you feel you are struggling with, where you want to grow, and how to do so in a way that helps you find your personal voice.

REGULAR // $250

1 hour Q&A with me focused on:
-pricing structure
-portfolio + website review
-attracting the clients you desire
-finding your voice
-editing and workflow
-software and applications

This regular mentoring session is Q&A style, meaning we will focus and direct our talk according to you and what you want to focus on! If you’re local, we’ll meet up and grab coffee, a beer, or (my favorite) chips and queso to chat. Whether you’re on the other side of town or the world, we can make it happen! If you’re not local.. we can easily set up a Skype call and we can chat from home! (PJ PARTY!) This session is ideal for out of town photographers, beginners, and those wanting to focus on the business side of photography, because as you know it isn't as simple as just making great photos. These topics are absolutely necessary when running a business. I'm hoping to share the lessons I've learned along the way and to help other photographers not only find their groove, but maintain a profitable, sustaining business!

EXTENDED // $500

Hands on photoshoot focused on:
-capturing genuine emotion
-making your clients comfortable in front of the camera
-gear (and how to properly use it!)
-directing clients
-location scouting and finding good light

Q+A session with me focused on:
-portfolio + website review
-pricing structure
-attracting the clients you desire
-editing and workflow
-software and applications

The extended mentoring session includes everything in the regular session, except we will actually go out and shoot a real session! We’ll start with a coffee date, chat about what it is you want to focus on during your session and what areas you feel you're struggling with, then we will head to get behind the camera! It will be designed to fit what client's you want to attract (couples, seniors, families, etc). We will both be shooting, but I’ll go through how I go about directing and posing my clients (while also giving you the chance to try your hand at it), finding locations and good lighting, the in's and out's of working your camera in different lighting, and making clients comfortable. This is the perfect chance to create images for your portfolio and social media to attract the clients you desire! After the session, we will start our Q+A and discussion time to talk about your session and how you feel like it went, what you took away from it, and what problems you feel you are still having. Obviously I'll be happy to answer any questions you have. This session is ideal for local photographers who want to focus on posing and directing and/or editing, and producing photos you love and are proud to deliver to your clients!
